Turns out my copy of AutoCAD 2002 won't load 2004 drawings! Makes sense I suppose!

Never used any sort of CAD programs so bear with me, can you not install a PDF program that makes a 'virtual printer' ? Basically another printer appears in your list of printers but when you print to it, it just converts the doc/viso/whatever to a PDF file and asks where you want to save it to.

if you were using Microstation yo could just export it strate as a PDF

I work in a design department as part of drawing control, I've just been given the new role of creating pdf files from AutoCAD drawings. I havn't done any yet but I'm told its an absolute ball ache!, and I'll have to close the software down after doing 3-4 drawings as the software will slow right down/crash. Can't wait! :|
