Tried that, didn't work. I have my headphones working on a different channel on the on board sound. Not ideal because I don't have much control pver the volume as it's always going to be quieter as it's supposed to be a rear speaker... | |

erm an idea would be to turn off the onboard sound card in the bios and then install the new sound card this may sort your problem out hopefully. | |

I was able to run two sound cards, can't even remember why i wanted to, but my OnBoard sound and Soundblaster audigy both worked. | |

My mobo has on board sounds, but I need to run another sound card. I have fitted a PCI card, but when I install the drivers the computer blue screens and crashes on me. |
