go for the dell....I have the 2200 inspiron..it's almost the same specs...:)

add £35 for the pentium M...instead of the celeron

but the toshiba seems good too...;)

I got a small lightweight Acer for £399 from comet, its pretty good, all i need to do is stick somemore RAM in it.

yeah they're not bad mate.

Obviously the Sony Vaio laptops are quite nice :lol: but the 9100 and M1 should be sufficient for what you want it for.

Haven't really looked into Dell that much so can't comment I'm afraid.

i had been looking at the dell inspiron 1300

Toshiba Tecra 9100 can be had for about £150 - £200 on the bay.

For £350 the Toshiba Tecra M1 would be my first choice. Great laptop with all the modcons. Wireless, Bluetooth, Infrared, loads of USB ports, Firewire, DVD/CDRW etc.

Ok my laptop has given up the ghost and i need a new one...HOWEVER i have a quite tight budget of around £350.....cant really push it further than that..its goin on my credit card as it is! lol



anyone got any suggestions of where is best to find a half decent lappy. with a bit of spec...wireless...maybe widescreen for this kinda price range?!
