Lacie have some cool lego brick looking external disks now, plus it wouldnt matter if you didnt have usb2 it would jsut mean that it transfers data at usb1 speed

I got the black my book and paid the extra £10 just cos it looked better :). It's easy to use, quiet and not a bad price.

mmmmm says it uses a usb 2.0 connection, i'm now not 100% if my laptop has usb 2.0 ... trying to find out lol. i know for sure it doesn't have firewire.

if it has usb but not usb 2.0 will it still work?

sorry for the possibly really stupid questions

did a search and read a few threads about these.

i've got a laptop which does me fine for everything i need, only problem it has is it only has 30gb hard drive.

i'm looking at using my laptop for video editing and have usb 2.0.

can i store all my video footage on an external hard drive, edit it on my laptop and save it back to the external hard drive again?

i'm not overly clued up on computers so any help is much appreciated

thanks
