Sounds like the bastard at the other end couldnt be arsed to speak to his supervisor.
When you get the right person to speak to then you will get something cheap, so keep phoning until...otherwise ask to speak to the supervisor and say that you've been a customer for a number of years and you feel mistreated that you havnt been offered any discounts/deals for be such a loyal customer - you get the idea

i know that they will haggle as my flat mate has 800mins and 1000txts for 30 a month + a new phone, by abusing the person down the phone for a few minutes - seems to work :o

TBH I'd sign up for 18 months for 1000mins/500 txts @ £35, cheap tariff, flog the phone after a year, buy new one and sell that after 6 months when you can upgrade.

I have tried to haggle, offered to cancel my contract and they don't seem fussed and gave me the address to do it. Used to be able to haggle, seems you can't anymore and all the major players (like petrol stations) are price fixing so it's the same across the board  robbing cunts.

got a link to this fella?
1000mins and 500texts for 35 a month is cheap, if the minutes are anytime/network etc Or is it an 18 month contract?

Seen the phone on o2 online for 30 quid + tarrif etc

Saying that though nik, have a complete moan down the phone if you havnt cancelled or keep phoning until you get someone that is willing to do a decent deal!! Saying that though, you might get tied down to a 18month contract - seems to be the thing now :|

Both 18 month aren't they? Didn't really want to do 18 months which is what the prob is with o2, however the 12 month deals are poor and not as good as what I already have. You sure the 1000 min/500 txt is £35? Thought they told me it was £75 odd - Can't see it on their site?

I don't think there are many tariffs that will give you the Nokia N80 for free at the moment.

PS Geek Day :P

Anyone know of a good tariff? I'm looking for around 800 mins + texts anytime and the Nokia N80 phone. Been with o2 for a few years now and they aren't offering me anything good so I've told them where to go.

Checked Vodafone and their prices are even more expensive + they want £100 for the phone.

Any ideas? :(
