and everytime I change it (homepage) it reverts back to that message. Every so often I Get a blue msg in bottom right corner saying "System scan is highly reccommended by Windows Security Centre"

what do you mean homepage is locked? what does it show? and what error codes are you getting?

Homepage is locked can't change this, any ideas how to fix it, Windows security centre keeps coming up with an error.
