No not a virus, only hardware problem i guess.

Is it wireless?
you can disconnect the receiver and plug it again

my mouse is a "Microsoft USB IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0" and all settings and drivers look fine...

maybe its a virus? it hasnt done it yet today so fingers crossed!

i have a microsoft ball-less one. had it for ages and never had any troubles! ill have a quick look at the mouse settings...

One of your buttons will be set to double click. Its will not be a hard problem to fix

Problem with the mouse or mouse drivers.
Mine happens to be double clicking like that just now.
Yes it is extremely annoying.
Need to seee if I can get the mouse swapped.

okay got a problem when i open a website it opens it twice!?

and if i shut anything down (not just websites) itll shut two things down? for example closing down firefox will also exit and close IRC :| very annoying! any ideas?
