You haven't got a 256k line either.
You have whatever line speed and pay for 256k.
You somehow get way over that.

I bought the 2mb package last year and they say if it doesn't support the full 8mb I can expect a hike to around 5.5mb free of charge (5.5mb is an average figure apparently)

we just went live on monday.
i aint turned the line off yet, or tested the throughput, although the router is registering approx 7.7mb connection

I can get it on this exchange but I'm not getting upgraded until all the business customers are done apparently. I'm only on the cheap one.

yeah ive been reading up that you are meant to switch the router off the night before it goes live

John

I went live monday.
No issue with throughput although there is a bug with that.
Should turn your router off the night its supposed to be happening.
I could only get 512k before and synched at about 2500 atm.
Hopefully go up to at least 3 tomorrow as i've had no problems.

Anyone on here ordered it or gone live yet , have you had any issues with throughput and re-sync speeds?

BTW for those of you that dont know anywhere that is enabled for Broadband can now get 8mb (if your ISP supports it)
