ive been told to change the MB clock to 166mhz

also i have 2 broken ps2's if u wanna ave a go of fixing them ;)

The chip is running at 1.1 because the fsb isnt set up correctly.
Take out the new hard drive and see if it works then. if it does then you have a confiliction on the same ide cable. A way that might sort it is to move both the hard drives on the same channel and keep the optical drives on the same channel aswell.

Any motherboard settings been changed at all? Clock multiplier could of been halved somehow

right, just got a new Motherboard underwarranty as my pc kept restarting.......

its an ASRock

problems so far are....the chip was a 2.2 ghz now its saying 1.1?

both cd/dvd drives burn blank cds.....its recently been flashed and only fooked up when my mate installed a new HD.....

can any1 help me?

running a pio DVR109 dvd writer and the cdr writer is a sony CRX230E
