Scart box isn't fully wired then.
They normally don't do well with rgb for some reason.

Mr PaulW how do you re-encode NTSC to Pal format thankyou please

definately down to the Video format used...

you can still have a region-0 or region-2 encoded DVD with an NTSC signal...

NTSC/PAL are completelt independant of regional codings on the DVD system...

PAL operates at 25fps, 625Lines and 50Hz... All UK TV's can display this frequency

NTSC operates at 30fps, 525Lines and 60Hz... Not all UK TV's can display this...

Therfor, if your TV can't operate an NTSC Signal... you will just get a black&white image...

You would need to re-encode the AVI in a PAL format from your PC before you burn it to DVD

Can codecs not affect the disc during burning? I am a noobish lol but Im sure I have had a problem where the picture was upside on the disc. Installed a codec pack and it sorted it out.

have you tried playing any other DVDs to make sure its not your player?

Im not sure about SCART leads, but on your VGA lead, each pin relates to a colour. So if you swap out any of your pics, or the lead is not inserted properly the colours are all out.

just a thought.

Nothing to do with region.
Regions are so discs from other countries won't play.
A disc from a different region will possibly be ntsc but thats not a product of regions.
