all cases which conform to the ATX standard allow for port blanking panels to be fitted which come with motherboards

gone are the day with pre-cut port shapes for serial/parrallel ports!

Are the cases standard as to the locations of the ports on the back? Im looking at getting a new motherboard but want to know if it will drop in ok coz I think the ports are in different locations.
