I use a program called Iconoid, it hides icons and tool bars after a set amount of time(u can set this) so when they dissapear u just clikc the desktop and there back. | |

The Display Control Panel also has the options to turn them on and off. 2 methods, same result. | |

Or if you actually wat to get rid of the two icons (im assuming its My Computer and My documents) right click each of them on the start menu, and uncheck the box that says "Show on Desktop" | |

Go to desktop , right click > arrange icons by > show desktop items | |

Right click the desktop, goto Arrange Icons By, and untick "Show Desktop Icons". | |

I'm currently not able to find this function! Got everything but two icons removed... |
