looking on maxtors site, says f6- specified driver - insert driver floppy disk. ok i can plug a floppy drive in, but i have no driver disk!

yeah its called a mesh computers recovery cd-rom w xp home sp2 etc........

SATA is bad news as far as your concerned.
Do you not have a recovery disc as opposed to an xp install disc?

on hard drive..
maxtor diamond max plus 9 200gb sata/150 hdd

bought pc from mesh few months ago.
all i can find ... 200gb serial ATA ultra fast hard drive..
hopefully helps, carry on looking for info. cheers

What type of hard drive is it? IDE or SATA?

Is it set to Raid in the bios?

if your hard disk are connected to a third party adapter then yes you may have to press F6 to install the drivers.

you will need to put the drivers on a floppy disk as windows stupid install won't pick them up from the cd.

are the hard disk i a form of raid??

i have this problem with a mates laptop, which we had to swap from Raid to ATA configuration in the bios.

re installing windows, when i get to the part where would u like to install, no hard drives are shown??? says <setup cannot access disk>

does anybody know what the problem is??? thanks!
