NTL/Telewest contracts are 12 months, but you can break out of them if you are moving house (which you will be) and into an area they don't currently serve... (good ole small print ;) )

quote:    *takes a breath*   It is NOT, repeat NOT, unlimited if the ISP restrict what you can download......and they have, this week, released that the £21.99 account is capped to 100GB per month (total) and 30GB per month (peak-time)......go over this, and (and I'll make this bold so it's noticeable) PlusNet WILL restrict your download speed to 67Kbps (yes, that's right, just over dial-up speeds)! Avoid, at all costs, even if they were the last ISP on Earth (which they aren't)! For lots of info: http://www.adslguide.org.uk

not sure where I read it - but it said 'Soon NTL 10mb will be the standard... merely the different packages will be different bandwidth amounts... so that you can tailor it too how much you need.

quote: Use NTL broadband then -- I always found cable much more stable than ADSL anyway... plus you can get 3Mbit... (Although I'm not sure what NTL are like -- I was always on Telewest).
