got this problem, was working fine minutes ago and now doesnt, its not muted.

when i go into ctrl panel/sounds and audio, everyhing is greyed out in the volume tab and at the top says no audio device

find out what sound card you have then download the driver from the manufacturers site.

i also have this problem, but i have deleated the software be mistake . does anyone no how i can re-install it?

CHECK THE SOUNDCARD IS INSTALLED!!!

if not

ctrl panel -> add hardware

When you goto ctrl panel and then Sound and Audio devices is anything in there greyed out?

Also try another set of speakers if you've got any.

if its a new PC brought from a store the drivers will be already installed

if its on boards sound ahve u checked the motherboard drivers are installed if its a sound card have u checked the drivers are installed for that?

Have u also checked that the sound card is pushed all the way in?

2 speakers and a subwoofer.. fairly old.. ive checked mute etc

if its onboard sound check its enabled in the bios, check all the obvious sound volumes by double clicking on bottom right speaker icon.

Is the new sound 5.1 surround sound and are you trying to plug 2 speakers into it?

or go to the volume settings and check that mute isnt on :look:

got a new computer

amd sempron

one of the latest specs...



but i cant get no sound... where using our old speakers...

any suggestions
