Nismo I just checked that and its not on anyway... but previous to this I was using a router and it kept doing this...

so I gave the router to a mate and just went back to this modem thinking it was the router causing it and it's not!

Uncle has Bt Yahoo has the same problem.. he's waiting for telewest in his area so he can order the 1mb connection which is upgraded to 2mb free of charge!

indeed

not very good , replace it for a cheap router, we stock these and there free, i think there was some issues on earlly models and the firmware had to be updated, also as its a modem check

Tools > Internet Options > Connections > (highlight the voyager connection) > properties > Advanced > then you should have a (Hang up if idle) option disable this.

my dad ordered the boradband while i was at uni so he got what was easiest for him to order, i know i could have got 1Mb for a few quid more a month with a more reliable provider

well as long as other people have this problem then i shall not worry any longer

I also get this - I assumed it was because of a daily download bandwidth limit or something...

Thus when I download large movie's / games etc it usually only gets about 600mb done before fucking up and not letting me download any more and giving me DNS errors on explorer.

I have BT Yahoo and Wanadoo :o  BT at home and Wanadoo back at the flat.

Run them both off BT Voyager wireless and works fine without any drop of connection etc. Wanadoo customer service is wank and BT might as well employ my Nan who can't even work out what day it is. Bless...

I dunno why you pay the extra quid for BT Yahoo.... it's a crap connection.... pay the 28.99 for the BT 1mb, alot more reliable.

I've had this for a while now and the connection goes every time I use it after about an hour, although the computer thinks its still connected, so when i try and disable then enable the connection it does nothing and the computer usually goes really slow.

Also happens a lot when using BitTorrent

Any ideas on any settings I can change to stop it doing this
