I think the MEDION CD is an OEM version. I did try and install it on my desktop at one point but it asked to be activated so put Windows XP Pro back on. | |

It might not work, the serial number will be an OEM serial, meaning you will have to have an OEM version of the XP CD. | |

Is it legal? I can't see why not because i have the code on the back of laptop but just incase i have to take it back the shop in the next 3 years. | |

I've got 2 laptops, one a MEDION and one a Packard Bell. Now, the PB one has the restore stuff on the HDD and no CDs but i wanna wipe out the HDD and install Win XP Home Ed. I have a Win XP disc off the MEDION laptop but wanna know if it will work on the PB one as i have a licence. |
