If its a newer computer, then where is says boot options/order in the bios, USB should be selectable. It should then boot from the USB dvd drive. Mine does.

i know it can via the bios, but you might beable to get some sort of dos driver for USB. Do a google mate for USB DOS driver or USB DOS access and see what it comes up with :thumbs:

erm.... can a USB port be accessed through dos?

trying install an operating system on a laptop for a mate but he only has a usb dvd burner to read disks.
