Mine does this every now and then, it's solved by cleaning the head about 5/6 times.

Printer Moves But Does Not Print
Print out the nozzle check pattern to ensure that the ink has been applied properly.

If it is not printed properly, clean the print head.

For information on how to print the nozzle check pattern and how to clean the print head, refer to the Quick Start Guide.

If the error continues after cleaning the print head several times, the print head may have been damaged. Contact a Canon service representative.

it did get jammed few times when installed it coz of the tape stuck to it :(

Icy I found this article on your printer. It's a review but shows how to set it up etc on pages 2 and 3. You might see something that you didn't do when setting up. This hopefully will help you!

I wouldn't bother messing witht the drivers mate, not yet. If it's moving like it's printing, then everything seems ok with the drivers.

I'd check the cartridges Icy.

do a test print from the printer itself at least this way your know the printer is ok and its the connection from the pc thats at fault

^^^This is easy to solve as well mate. Check in Control Panel/Printers and see hwich printers are there. Make sure your new one has a little black tick on the icon.
