mine runs at 55kb download speed all the time

bull shit! anytime iv used it its as fast at the start as it is at the end!

altho the wee smiley face usually turns to a smile after uv uploaded more than uv downloaded...

The way bit torrent works, is that the more you upload, the more you can download.

So your download speed will be dog slow at first, but as you get more of the file, and start uploading/sharing with other bit torrent users, then you are rewarded with more download speed.

At least that's the way I understand it.

The downloads themselves come from everyone that has Bit Torrent. While you're downloading the file, Bit Torrent uploads the file to other users at the same time.

One person has to be the super seed for the file, or the "Master" seed. People download the file from this one person, and then begin to upload it themselves. Bit Torrent is the future of file sharing! Of course, not all of it is legal, suprnova being one of them, although I still download from it. :lol:
