create a new user account, try it in that, if it works, just copy everything from the old user to the new user & then delete the old user.

You got loadsa programs running in the background, spyware or maybe a virus lurking there, check those things, delete any crap you have downloded off the internet, this should sort out the problem.

Sounds like you are running Windows 98 too. If you are, you should consider upgrading to XP or 2000 cos those illegal operation problems are more or less resolved, or so I have found...

when ever i click on internet explorer it just cums up with this has performed an illegal opperation

any 1 help
