	If it's for a ficticious company, you may want to consider the fact that MS-SQL has 'self-tuning'... Correct me if I'm wrong LL, but Oracle does require some time in tweaking and optimisation of the application/server? Going to affect cost of running the thing... Also, MS-SQL gets tarnished purely because it's made by Microsoft, although it does actually perform very well top-end... Dell.com even uses it to run their site ;)

	I did my HND final yr project in Access (quality program, like it loads!). For my degree i'm hopeing to do a forum or something

	I did it last year. Got 60% and didn't have a clue what i was dong :lol: Also downloaded the program but i couldn't get it to work, u have to conect to some servers or something :lol:

	oracle is a very stable platform, well for the size of things we use.

	that sql is a waste of time, oracle is twice as good but will cost twice as much it depends on the scale of db use SQL can do most things Oracle can do

	what initial point!:boggle::o i actualy ment that if you buy a new server they normaly put sql free on, as this is what happened another company we dont use sql i have seen it and would recomend it though, oracle is the way forward! [Edited on 09-03-2004 by dan_sri]
