illegal most likely...

though we're not the one's hosting or distributing the actual files... we're just hosting links to trackers that link you to people with the files...

We can't help it if people click the links and go download the stuff...

What is the legality of hosting bit torrent links??

Basically our main method of advertising atm - is circulating it on the torrent rings... We are also adding torrent links to other sites and giving the link back to our site.

Ian I know mate, compared to CS 15,000 hits is nothing - but you should know yourself... to get to 33,000,000 hits per month took some time :D

and popular forum's always get big hits - coz people constantly check back! :D

- Tim, I know mate... I've been trying to think of a way I can cash in - we've both decided to wait till the site is big before we try though

Knowing what I'm like, I'll do something that'll kill the site - for some money

Sell Out :P

Charging £12.76 to host half a dozen jpeg's is a good start

Mine and my mates site is getting so popular! :!

My mate said he was gonna make a bit torrent web site and I said - cool, I'll give you a hand and we've been working on it casually - its still in a very basic and unprofessional looking state to be honest...

but I can't believe how fast its getting hits...

The site is less than a month old. Originally had hardly any torrent links on it at all and is still looking rather basic (soon to change when I get some spare time) - but we've had 15,128 hits! :!

Originally we were getting 0 hits, other than ourselves... we advertised it a bit on other sites and stuff... started getting a couple... at the end of feb we had 2557 hits ... which I personally thought was fantastic for a site that we had only been tinkering with in our spare time and was less than a month old!

since the start of march (about 6 days) - we've had 12,603 hits!!!

today in a single hour we hit a peak of 426 hits!

If things continue to grow at this rate its gonna be massive! now just need to figure out a way to cash in

These amount of hits might not sound a lot to most of you, but if you've ever tried to make a site before - I can tell you - its very hard to get people to go there. Until you get the first few, your site will usually sit there dead. then once you've got quite a few people going there they tend to spread the word about it and it gets bigger like CS.

Just thought I'd share this with you as I was very shocked...

the sites http://www.totalxbox.biz - you don't have to go there, just for your info. I'm ashamed at it atm, as if I was working on it properly it'd look a lot better than the basic php nuke template that it is - but had no time.
