Sorry - ADSL broadband is not yet available in your area, but we are currently assessing demand.

We need 300 people to register their interest in buying ADSL broadband at this exchange. If 300 people register then we will begin the process to upgrade the exchange.

Our initial test on your line suggests that you may be able to have an ADSL broadband service that provides up to 2Mbps download speed.

If you decide to place an order, a further test will be done to confirm if your line is suitable, and if so for what speed of service.

Thank you for your interest.

:( I remember a while ago, hearing about people trying to sort out getting broadband in this area, but obviously nothing came of it!!!

Ahh right! :( What's your exchange's trigger-level like? Click on the Availability Checker link on the page below, then put your full phone-number in the box at the bottom-right, see what it says...

I'm biased, I'd only suggest the ADSL/broadband company I work for (but we have been rated in the top3 on ADSL-Guide (click here for ADSL Guide) for a few months now......Zen Internet (click here for Zen Internet ADSL).

As an addition, all tech-support lines are based on a local-rate call (0845), not a premium-rate like some of the "bigger" companies like Tiscali...

Yesh 50p a minute. Who are the best ISP though? Have been thinking of changing for a while!!

I would say it's the fact you've deleted your cookies and webcache that's fixed it, rather than the fact that Norton was disabled (disabling firewalls is standard practice in any tech-support fix-script).

Try re-enabling the firewall, and see if you still have the problem......if you do, try uninstalling and reinstalling Norton.

From memory, Tiscali are one of the ISPs guilty of re-locating their Tech Support to India (cheaper labour-costs, but you still pay the premium-rate to call them).

Well called tiscali, and took longer than normal coz i was speaking to a foreigner!!!

And she said to delete cookies and files, and to disable norton anti virus.

So ive done all that it's working fine now, but what settings do i need for norton for my internet to work right? Without not letting me on any site!!!!

Cheers

I'd say option #1 would be: phone your ISP.

It's been sooooo slow recently and sometimes comes up with page cannot be displayed, really annoying now.

Is there anything in internet options i can do to sort it???
