imho its a total waste of time, you are only sending someone a text message/photo over blue tooth, but they have to accept it first so geh.

they will have no idea where it's come from, unless they see you or send one back and hear your phone beep

it send a short 1 line message with the software above, or you can make up a new contact and send that to anyone in range.

If they have BT turned on and set to recieve it just pops up on their screen

At the last MK meet I decided to send Paul a ringtone via Bluetooth and I discovered a couple of other Bluetooth devices at the same time

Yeah, its all well and good sittin there "searching" for other phones, but they have to have a) their bluetooth enabled and b) their visability "shown to all".

If people go round and leave that on, then they are asking for it really, plus it wastes battery.

My fone (7650) scans for other fones and sends messages, but they have to be "accepted" by the other fone before transmission begins.

Anyone done this? My mate just got a T610 so we were testing the bluetooth, got software on mine that scans the area then sends a message. Think i confused a few people.
