	Get hold of a copy of Notron Ghost 2002, it does support dynamic disks. See below, http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ghost.nsf/docid/2000062209523525?Open&src=&docid=2000033111503625&nsf=ghost.nsf&view=docid&dtype=&prod=&ver=&osv=&osv_lvl= Then take an image of the C drive, flatten the disk and put the image back. It will take a while but you should be ok. Next time don't use dynamic disks for a home PC, they are a pain in the arse!

	Sorted now i just copied all data back to the 2nd partition and spanned the 2nd disk to stripe it on the end of the second partition My new HDD space for D and my disk management now [Edited on 20-12-2003 by Steve106GTi]

	Seems you need to re-format the IIO partition of the D while the C runs sequential to the partition of the ESO, this will glow the two drives and you'll be able to run the D seperatly with the FDS now open

	Ok this is the full story, i had one 120gb hdd in my machine partitioned up into C & D, i have since added another 120gb disk which has one partition (G) i have copied all my data from D onto G leaving C as the system and G with all my data, i have formatted the old D partition and want to reclaim this space to C

	One quick question, but why not just leave it partitioned? It's safer that way......if you have to do a Windows format-and-reinstall if everything goes pear-shaped, you don't lose as much, because everything "important" would be on another partition.

	If the old D drive is now showing as free space you should be able to grow the C drive to whatever size is avaliable? In answer to your partition magic question, it doesn't support dynamic disks, you would need to convert back to a basic disk to manipulate it.

	ok i have one physical hdd that i have partitioned up into two partitions, c and d, formatted in NTFS and i have made both partitions dynamic. Now i have cleared all space off the D partition and want to merge this free space with the C partition but XP Disk Management cant do it and the D partition doesnt even show up in partition magic 8???????? Could this be because the Partitions are dynamic? if so anybody know if the latest partition magic works with dynamic disks or now of any software that does??? [Edited on 20-12-2003 by Steve106GTi]
