i had the same problem,
downloaded the same movie, getaway 3.
i del the whole movie in frustration! lol

tried it, on media player 9, no luck

but i now have sound

trying 7.1 now

cheers all, will try drews version first

gonna try see if it will play on dvd player once i get it working on pc

any1 downloaded anything they CANT open, looks that way :(

if you have nero use it and close the wizard at the start. There will be options down the left.....go down to SVCD and you will be able to watch it then (hopefully!!!)

this is what i do to watch SVCD's on my DVD player in the living room

as far as i know there are no codecs for SVCD format mpegs

you cant play svcd formats on the computer as far as i know
i just burn them onto disc and watch them as svcd's
