Used to work for EE and some things don't change. Always been hassle, usually they fob you off and tell you to go in store when we in store weren't able to do it. Might be different now but I doubt it!

Good luck, ring them and ask to speak to their supervisor and explain situation and request their name and code so you can get back to them if they attempt to fob off again

I'm also moving from EE because they are a bunch of wankers!

I get charged for calls i've never made. When i question it, it gets refunded on the next bill. I can't be arsed with the same shit every month.

Yeah it locks to the first network it gets. Still ongoing, basically I have have to email EE to prove I've had the handset replaced under warranty. It's a right pain in the arse and EE are a shower of arseholes.

Girl I spoke to in the apple shop said they don't even need to do all this they just do it to make life awkward.

I was under the impression (perhaps incorrectly) that they locked to the network of the first SIM used. Was certainly the case with my replacement from the Apple store and Vodafone contract

From my experience EE should instruct apple to unlock it.

I'm currently trying to leave EE and having a nightmare, my iPhone is locked to their network. However it is a replacement handset, who actually does this process? EE or apple? I've rung them numerous times and got nowhere and the guy I spoke to today said that only apple can unlock it as the imei number isn't the same as the one they have on record. Surely it's down to EE to sort out?

No-one can give me an actual answer and I'm getting absolutely nowhere with it all, this has been ongoing for 3 weeks now and I have given up hope with them.
