They should employ mercenary hackers to seek lizard squad and delete their identities from existence and see how that goes down with the wank-splats.

Do this to get PSN working again:

Go to network settings, choose custom setup, choose appropriate WiFi/LAN settings and just set everything to "automatic" until you get to MTU. Set MTU to 1473 and you should be able to log in.

Worked for me and seems to work for the majority.

Issue right now is that the servers are apparently back online, but not yet running at full capacity.

Pissed me right off, the misses was on shift so slept Christmas day...thought get gta on...nope, thought I'd try the ps3 so stuck gt6 on, said it had an update but wouldn't update or start.

Then tried Netflix and prime...nope. Security key server unavailable or something.

Surely all the 3rd party companies like netflix will now be all over Sony to make sure stuff like this can't happen again.

I don't own a new gen console so I don't really care. But if i did, i'd be going ape shit and having mad withdrawal symptoms.

Certainly not if you're using the downloaded games. Xbox works tho.

Still down?

Got a PS4 for Xmas and you can't seem to do anything without being logged in to the PSN? :o :lol:

Seems a bit silly?!

Apparently sony did upgrade some security and it took a bit longer to take down this time but the response to get it back up is ridic - its been down quite a while now.

well done kim dotcom for giving a bunch of dickheads something for being dickheads :o now they will want more stuff in order to quit DDOS'ing in the future.

Bart

not sure i'd call them hackers, but completely agree with Sony about their security.

Allegedly its stopped;

When will these tossers stop bringing down gaming networks :mad:

More to the point, when will Sony and Microsoft step up their security to prevent this!?
