its a refurb though.... £15 less than a new Medion.

Thing is i want a 17". All Dell and Hp stuff is a lot more money for the same spec as the Mellon. Or cheaper with lower spec and screen size.
Shouldn't need to spend a grand on a laptop now days imo. That's what we spent years ago.

Cheapo budget brand, usually found in places like Lidl/Aldi.
I would recommend Samsung laptops. I've had laptops from all sorts of manufacturers over the years, and they seem to be the best in terms of build quality and look/feel (although this is reflected in the higher prices they are sold for).
Or get a MacBook Air/Pro if you want the best (at double the price of a Windows laptop) :o

hmmm, they get a good compnay review on the net for product and service.
if you go into PC-Currys etc.. all £600 and under Laptops feel plasticy though
