I call bullshit, if they're doing it remotely its a case of registering the imei which they won't have to do. Ask them what the procedure is and I bet theyll get shirty

I sent them an email this morning, no refund as they have already started the unlocking process and cant be cancelled :(

What a fuck about, can't help but  a little at the situation! At least it's sorted now though, can't you get a refund for the £60 seeing as they won't have had to actually do anything? They probably have to pay a fee to someone to register it as unlocked and then charge you a fee for their trouble, I'd be asking for at least a partial refund from them

Very fucked off

I bought an 02 simcard and £20 credit as £15 was for the unlocking of the handset.

After 3 phone calls and a few trips into 2 o2 stores i was told the handset 100% cant be unlocked by them as i havent had the phone from them or the handset hasnt been used on 02 for over 12months!

I have checked the phone this morning to find £15 taking off the simcard and the phone unlocked!

not only have i just paid £60 for someone else to unlock the bloody thing!:mad::mad:

Im in a contract with vodafone so i cant see them doing anything about it tbh, ive already contacted them about unlocking but because its an o2 handset they cant unlock it.

Anyone know if apple unlock the handsets themselfs?

Get in touch with Vodafone, if youre already witht them ask them to unlock or you'll have to move to O2 and they'll unlock it for you

£15 isn't that bad for an official unlock, don't see what the problem is tbh.
