They dont work, there for the other way around. You will need a converter to make those work as the signal is completely different. | |

If the cable works, VGA to HDMI would be the best bet. Then you'd need an audio cable (as VGA can't carry audio as well as video, i think). So you'd need to get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm or 3.5mm to RCA (http://sewelldirect.com/35-mm-Mini-Stereo-to-Dual-RCA-Red-and-White-Cable---6-ft.asp). | |

S-Video -> S-Video would be the easiest, the round sockets with many pins | |

Depends on your laptop. My laptop has a blu ray drive so has a HDMI connection built in | |

I connect with HDMI with my PC as well. dont know if a laptop will have HDMI. there are loads of cables around and all prity cheap | |

depends on the connections on ur tv and lappy. 15pin vga cable if both tv and lappy have them. Or hdmi if its there. Will also need a cable for the audio, again depending on connections could be a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable. Or could use optical if you have amp equipment etc | |
