Sure it's not virtual memory? On my N73 if you hold down the menu key it brings up a list of apps that you have open and need closing :boggle:

you can do that on the menu aswell. but it says on use 144mb, but doesnt show the 144mb anywhere. this is whats confusing me

Find the File Manager (will probably be in Applications, but maybe Settings) and press Options, it will have an option for Memory Info - it then breaks down the memory into file types e.g. music, video etc and tells you how much of the memory is being used for each type.

Text messages are saved to the phone memory by default, check the message settings and change it to the memory card if it's not already set.

mate was trying to send me a video clip last night on bluetooth. failed due to memory full on the phone. it has a 2gig card in it, plenty of space and i save everything to that 2 gig card not the phone memory.

when i checked the phone memory it was using 144mb. i cant find out what this is being used for. it says i have 3000kb left on phone memory. ive deleted all the inbox text messages, tried deleting some of the music on the phone, but i think thats saved to the memory card anyway.

how can i find out what its 144mb is used on?
