Thanks mate, will try it later and report back, can't get near the TV now as mum is watching celebrity welding or some nonsense.

Hold down on the power button for about 10 seconds to reset the video settings. Connect it with a HDMI cable and power it up, it should work.

Bought a ps3 off a mate today, I had to as it was a steal. I've connected the hdmi cable but when I go into my TV settings to change to hdmi slot 1 to play it only sound comes through, but when I change it scart2 channell it comes through fine, will it still be in hd?it looks as though it is anyway, just wondering why only the sound is coming through via the coreect channell :boggle: anyone know why? hope that makes sense.
