Yeah you have to buy the wireless module which is about another £80
This has to be plugged into the mains so its not really 'wireless' its bollocks really
The wireless box works via RF IIRC

Cheap as chips -- I wouldn't expect 'em to be that great.

The bluetooth is just for adding stuff to it, e.g. Can play music from you phone through the DVD player.

That's what i think from reading the link anyway

Oh :(

Infra red is wireless :|

I don't know what methods other ones use though, i'm sure there must be one that uses RF.

Don't think the one that adds-on to the samsung is infra-red, says wireless.

There was a phillips system out ages ago that had wireless rear speakers, pretty sure that wasn't infra-red either

It is useless unless you can situate it somewhere nobody will ever break the beam.

Not that special then :(

I need something like your folks, john, altho infra would be useless for the reason i want it.

Yip bluetooth is just used for playing music from phones and stuff.

Mum and dad have a sony system with wireless back speakers, uses infra red but the brears still need to be plugged into a power socket and a wire between them.

If that manages to maintain the same sound quality as when wired, then that's cool :!

Are the speakers actually wireless then? Do they need batteries?

I was going to get a dvd player for £65, speakers for £100 and amp for about £100 so this is all in 1 and has saved me bit of cash! got £50 off as well cos had a voucher that work gave me

am i right to think that a an external hardrive can be linked to this to grab films/pictures etc?
