Then the Arcade does what you need it to.

Basically at this stage I want an Xbox..wireless controller and GOW...

Thats it.

Arcade sounds promising...

The Arcade comes with a memory card; it's only about 256mb so it should be enough for just saved games.

i thought i only wanted to play games etc but its nice having the option to download demos and other arcade games etc. imho go for an elite

MarkM

I only want it to play games...save my progress etc...a wireless controller is a must though...

2bh get the xbox, spend the extra money because all you will end up doing is buying the bigger harddrive, with the arcade you dont really get any space to save stuff, or download demos etc,

as far as as the controller i think they are wired ones, and also the black xbox looks better

Right...there is 360 topics galore in here...

BUT

I still cant figure out what to go for...I have seen the arcade combo pack at Gamestation for £169.99 with one game. Now I am getting into all this gaming lark again now I live in my own place and subsequently having to stay in more...

I cant be arsed spending £300+ on a package...I want an Xbox to play Gears of War and MOH etc...nothing more really...dont want to download anything such as movies to watch on it so a massive memory isnt needed...besides I could buy the 120GB memory for £99.99 at a later date...I presume you can do this? easily installed?

What does the Arcade pack actually come with? Does it have enough memory to save games? Wireless controller? etc...

I will then take the plunge and get a PS3 in 6 months when the prices hopefully come down a touch...
