why not rename the shares? if you add a $ at the end off them they will be hidden and wont show up when you browse the machine etc, thus you would only be able to access the share if you know the full name of it ;) | |

you going to be the only user? if so security settings on the folder and just have your user name in it, then when people try and accses it, it will say private folder. | |

Its an external HDD plugged into my laptop, laptop is then plugged in by ethernet to the network. | |
