Is that a Dell Dimension there?

If it spins up to full speed as soon as its turned on theres a good chance its the board.

Try a bios update and if that doesn't work it'll be a new board.

You should be able to disable any fan checking in the bios options really, press DEL, or F2 when booting repeatadly to get to the Bios options

It will be fine, could be just the bearings are shot. It will only usually be drawing in air from the outside to circulate through the PC to the back fans to pass out of the case. Just get another in time.

Unless its a high specced system, and you are SURE its just the fan on the front and not the PSU/CPU/GFX fan thats fucked, then id just ignore it and disconnect the fan, unless you are bothered enough to get another one to replace it.

You sure it's the fan at the front then?, yes you'd lose a bit of cooling but it shouldn't effect the system like a CPU fan or PSU fan dying then your CPU/PC overheats...

turn it off, open it, hoover the fan and the whole inside of the pc. And try again...maybe it's full of dust, esp on the outside

my pc is making a hell of a noise, i feels like the fan is sucking in alot of air or blowing it, either way the fan sounds like its going mad????????
Why :boggle::boggle::boggle:
