512Mb in total, ie. 2 x 256Mb etc.

Depends what slots it has. crucial.com site is very good and should tell you what is installed and what you can buy.

im not very up on the internals/workings of a pc or laptop for that matter, with ram can i just plug it in? and that makes it run faster? do i have to re-install the OS again? making it so it stores more stuff :boggle:
