On my wireless network ive disallowed Limewire for my sister and any guests because they simply dont know how to use it. If they had it our whole home network would be open!

Ive done the same on my Uncles network (whicjh I set up), fed up of reinstalling windows and getting rid of limewaire downloaded viruses

When my brother used to live with me, I just set the router to ONLY allow internet browsing to his pc

I'm there downloading GB's of movies and he couldn't get a single mp3

my housemates are fine (live with 2 of them) but one of them's girlfriend makes me go CRAZY shes 17, immature as fuck and thinks she runs our house... everytime shes at home i let it be known my hatred, im angry even thinking about it

good thing is, my housemates have no PC knowledge, so i told them that limewire/any p2p program and torrents dont work with our router, and if they try then it blocks the router for 48hours, so they don't dare use any :(

yeh just reset it from the router then set up a password he doesnt know, then lok the router in a cupboard or something so he can not reset it the way you did lol.

Just hold the reset button in for 20 seconds, it will reset it, reconfigure it yourself (save the config file) then set the password to myflatmateisachumpster

Cosmo

just tell him to either give you the password or you'll reset it and not give it him.

Looks like I will have to either piss about doing that or just ask him for the password. Which I dont like doing beacuse everytime he opens his mouth I feel like punching him

My prick head of a house mate has decided to change the password on the router and funny how our net has now slowed right down. i.e. he dosnt want me logging in to see the logs of him downloading

Is there a easy way to find the password out so I can log into the router again?

Its a netgear wired modem router.

Thanks
