have a look under device manager, then under "universal serial bus controllers" you're device should be listed. Right-mouse click > Properties that and see if there is an option to turn "allow this computer to power down device to save power" (something like that).
If not, then you can turn off the feature on the "USB Root Hub" devices - again, right mouse click > Properties, select power management tab, deselect the check box next to "turn power off.....yadda yadda" :thumbs:

maybe its a feature of the drive? is there no settings on it you change?

all off. Only have the monitor go off.

Any settings in the Power Saving Settings on the screensaver bit of the displaysettings?

I'm using the Windows XP drivers but is there anyway i can stop the drive from powering down? Goes into energy saving mode after 10 minutes.
