Really? It sets itself up in 2003, all you need is your address and password.

To do it go onto accounts then click add account, follow the wizard. Job done.

no, outlook express still works, but for hotmail to support POP3 (so you can have access outside of outlook express with other mail clients) you have to upgrade your account ie: pay money for it.

like i said, hotmail popper (ands others) will sit on your system tray and do the work for you. Can even get them from the special shop, so technically free ;)

no outlook doesn't do hotmail, outlook express does (though im not sure if it works again).

The only way i have managed to do it, is download something like hotmail popper which sits in your system tray and converts your hotmail account to POP3 access. Then in outlook you just set up a new account pointing the pop3/smtp servers at your localhost (your computer) and hotmail popper will do the rest.

It works alright, though hotmail is generally pretty slow so it isn't the fastest of things

....then again, that's outlook express. Not sure if outlook is the same.

If you add a new account, you just type in your hotmail address in the "email address" bit and it should automatically recognise its hotmal and do the business.

You won't be entering a pop3 address.

it asks for some pop3 or something like that to set it up:boggle:
