You will need to restart the router after the upgrade has taken place.

Dunno about BT...but on Virgin Broadband the speed is governed by the DOCSIS file...a quick reboot normally enables the new DOCSIS to be obtained...

So might as well

A guy from BT called me yesterday and offered me a upgrade to 8MB from 2MB at no extra charge.

He said it'd take 48hrs.

Question is, do i need to turn my router off and on again to get it to recognise that it's now an 8MB line or will it just automatically be ok?
