yes i have mate, cant see why its not working as it pics all his deatilsd up but it seems the inlcudepicture function isnt working

are you putting c:\johnsmit.jpg?

ok tried all that and i get all the details in the word doc but where the photo should be is just says C:johnsmith.jpg instead of the piccy. any ideas??

Use a field for the image path, eg. C:\johnsmith.jpeg.

In Word, where you want the picture to be add a field like this (you will need to toggle field codes on/off, I don't have Word here so can't remember exactly (there's a button on the Mail Merge toolbar)...

{ IncludePicture "{ MERGEFIELD Image }" \d }

...where Image is the name of the field.

Right im in the process of making some ID badges for students where i work. I have all of their address deatils in an excel sheet and want to put their Student ID and photos in another.

So I have:

Table 1:
Name Surname Address
john smith etc


Table 2:
Student ID Photo
001
002

can i insert the images into the table directly or do i need to enter the photo field as a pointer to the image e.g. C:\johnsmith.jpeg


once i have the photos in the table i need to mail merge table 1 and 2 together in word, i can get the written details but how can i get the photos to merge??
