With broadband you will need a different modem to dial up, when you subscribe you will get everything you need, dsl filters etc

I think it's got a modem built into it? There was also a lead free with it with a phone plug on it.

If your laptop has a network port or a usb port then you dont need anything else apart from the modem which you get free when you sign up.
