Look for a panel on the bottom, only laptops i've touched memory in have been dell ones and its easy peasy.
Easier than a desktop actually.

It depends upon the type of laptop, most laptops have ports on the back of them which are covered over for expansion modules, one of which being for RAM.

My response would tend to veer towards "no", but since I've never opened a laptop up, it'd be more of a guess...

Given the size, though, I'd imagine things are quite neatly packed in there, though, so wouldn't be anywhere near as easy as on a desktop/tower machine...
