why that?
Ive just installed my DVD burner, i used the latest copy of DVD Shrink v3.2, stripped out the extras, and compressed it automatically to fit my dvd disc and burnt the file also using dvd shrink.

All worked well :D

or you can just set dvd shrink to "burn with nero" directly after its finished compressing the dvd.

its in one of the options on dvd shrink

It creates a file with audio_ts and video_ts in which you then have to open nero and burn. Open up a new "DVD VIdeo" which will have the blank folders already in then copy the contents from the output of dvd shrink into nero. Copy and paste will work.

oh right. ive just gotten a copy of nero ultra.
do you have to mess about with importing/exporting, or does it automatically detect + use nero?

dvd shrink doesnt burn itself but will work alongside nero to do the job

well, thats how it was on my old pc with dvd shrink (think it was 3.2)

why not use DVD shrink to burn?

no point in using dual layer discs tbh. just get some ritek single layers and use dvd shrink hand in hand with nero to compress and shrink all in one go.

the difference in dual layer discs is hardly noticable IMO

just bought myself a new dual layer 16 speed dvd writer.
Im looking to 'backup' my current DVDs. Can anyone recomend some good software to do this? i ideally want a good full copy of each dvd.
Someone recomended me DVD Shrink as it compresses the file to fit the disk.
But as ive got dual layer discs it prolly wont compress it anyway.

Any recomendations?
