ive had that problem on both my laptop and the desktop. with the laptop, the mobo needed replacing as it was faulty. on the desktop, its was down to heat problems, i just shoved a fan in and it sorted it all

Was looking at one site and it suggested increasing the PF size, so just reinstalled XP (AGAIN) and changed that first thing... it seems to have settled down for the moment... :o

By the look of that it happens with different files, find out what files it's happening with, then search on google for it ?

I've tried new PSU, but thats it so far... right now I'm planning on taking it down to the guys I knew from my last job in the comp fairs and trying to sort it there... I'm totally stumped.

Wish it would just say "you need new RAM" or "your chip is fried" or something.

I have two drives, one with all my backed up stuff on, and a fresh one which I am now using to try and rectify this...

Done a full format of my fresh 120gb drive, disconnected the other HDD I have so as far as the comp's concerned it's not there (didn't want to accidentally delete all my work in a fit of rage either).

Installed XP on the formatted drive, seemed ok, then suddenly it's throwing up all the errors it was giving me before.

So having tried starting over with the software, I'm left with only the hardware to blame.

I would try a fresh install of XP first before blaming the hardware. Do you have enough space to create a new partition or another drive for this purpose?

:(

Got a new one now too

"Page fault in nonpaged area"

New CPU and mobo tomorrow I think

Thats a bit of a cunt of an error mate, it could be corrupt drivers, spyware, a virus or anything. Try new MoBo drivers.

Good Luck

What in the shit does this mean???

My old motherboard (Gigabyte) died last week, so I got a new one (MSI). Since I put the new one in, XP keeps blue screening me and giving this message.

Tried takin out some of the RAM to see if that made any odds, tried a complete format and reinstall of XP on a new HDD too, but still getting that bloody message and it's gettin right on my tits.

It's an AMD 2200 CPU, 1 gig Kingston RAM, MSI board, 256mb ATI gfx card, 120gb Maxtor HDD...

Anyone have any ideas? Please help me and I'll photoshop you a nice something or other  :(
