'would' say try using System Restore to try get to a previous state... but sysrestore on ME was a bitch & caused more problem than its worth!

windows mediaplayer is also saying that it cannot play any files :(

my msn stopped working so i uninstalled it and re-installed it but when i install it it says -

could not open key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\microsoft\currentversion\run.
Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel


what do i need to do to sort it out?!?!?
