The firewall shouldn't affect the smilies, and turning it off leaves your computer less secure (unless you have another one). If you want to turn it off, right click your iunternet connection, goto the last tab, and untick the "protect my computer..." box. | |

I installed the windows xp service pack 2 recently and now smilies are not animated anymore:( I had the same problem with an old firewall so i am guessing its down to the firewall that was installed with the service pack. Can it be rectified? If it means making the computer less secure then obviously I'll leave it but just wondered if it can be told to accept them or something :boggle: |
